What Type Of Bass Do Producers Normally Use On Basslines?

I am in semi agreement with Kontact, real bass sounds so nice. It is the perfect bass sound I often try to look for and always like hearing. Dre has some of the nicest bass sounds and thats what I like about his music, the crazy bass.
 
It seems to me everyone is forgeting the actually Frequency of the bass. No matter how good the quality of the bass line, it will SUCK and sound "computerish" if the right frequencies are not emphisized. If you don't know how to eq...use one of the many VST effects that are on the web. One of my personal favorite is MAXXbass, and it has a cool woodgrain interface. I've made the cheesiest sounding basses hot by using eq to my advantage.
