Timbaland/Danja style kicks right here

hey ya'll whut up, i made this kick for ppl wondering how timbaland makes his, all i did was record my acoustic bass drum, but a small 808 under it, threw some classic gate reverb on my acoustic bass drum and thats about it, oh and dont forget to low pass everything payce good luck

Step 1--Find a good kick(clean, no noise)
Step 2--Find a 808, then shorten the tail
Step 3--Low Pass the first kick
Step 4--Add A Gated Reverb to the first kick
Step 5--Saturate the First Kick with Tape Saturation(be light)
Step 6--Low pass the 808 to get rid of the click

sorta kinda, distortion distorts, and saturation saturates, and saturater is more of a compressor where a distorter is a uncompressor do u kno what i mean

i see u threw heavy distortion on it, i only use distortion if i want to create a dr. dre kick that smore of a dre kick with no buttom that u created try putting a 808 under it and limit the distortion

Just listened back on the monitors, I made that with headphones. Sucks ass lol.
 
I don't want to embarrass all you guys attempts... or do you want me to post a kick?
