Are you interested in using the MPC's sequencer? If you are not going to use the MPC for its main features ie; sequencing, beat chopping, direct recording and chopping samples, etc.... Then you should proably not get one. Personally, I love the MPC. I use it to lay down my drums and other tracks then trasfer it into Logic Studio when I am ready to finish the song. I also use the MPC for direct recording samples and chopping them up (sort of a sketch pad for me), and for recording a saving my different drum kits. That is just how I do it, but many people do it defferently, nut iwould say if you dont need the main features of the MPC or would not use them, then just buy a MIDI Interface but go with PadKontrol (Korg) or Akai's MPD 24 they are the best out IMO.
