The funny thing is, I could have sworn that I did it before in the past but instead of a loop playing it was a snare assigned to one of the pads.

Kojak New member Jun 29, 2011 #4 Explain a bit better. Do you just want to listen to two sound sources at the same time? If so, you just need a mixer.

Basically I'd like to hear two sound sources at once- the record playing and the sample I have saved on a pad. Sorry for the confusion!
