Interesting debate here. I'm with Epsilon. Most producer drum kits are released with a licensing document that lets you know you're in the clear (i.e. Illmind, Cardiak, Masada, S1). So you can use them. Some producer packs (Justice League) you can use the sample, but if you release it you must contact them (crazy right). If you purchase a producer pack with sample chops in it, YOU MUST CLEAR THEM! Now there are also companies that release royalty free sample packs. These are full musical compositions that you can sample (Kingsway, Illmind, Patchbanks, etc.)
