Importing Sounds Onto My MPC2000 Trouble!!

I have recently decided to get the MPC2000 out again but the drums sounds I had on disks[yes I still use floppy] were kinda stale to me.

So I got some new sounds but cant remember how to get them onto the MPC.

I loaded them onto a floppy and opened the disk in the MPC but I get an error message saying "unknown file format".

they are .wav files at the moment but I converted one to .snd and got another error saying "cannot open file"

Any idea what I have to do??

Checkin the file summary it says:

sample size:24bit
sample rate:44kHz

I just realised that I could probably do it thru cubase...........
