Definitely. My thing is I'm not trying to wait for the wishing well to dry before I'm forced to find a source of income. I'm no stranger to the 9 to 5 market, in fact, I just passed up an amazing promotion to move closer to what my goals are.
I'm just tired of feeling like a cog in a much bigger machine. I'm tired of generating millions for other people. The music business is no different. I want to be accepted in the upper echelon of people who created something revolutionary. People who are accepted and were engraved in the silk binding of history.
That to me is more important than selling beats, and working for some corporate fat cat.

I feel where you're coming from Dot_Robinson, except for the ivory tower "pond of guppies" stuff. It'll be my 23rd birthday on April 8th and I'm at a crossroads career-wise... I will continue to do my music until it's no longer profitable, that's for certain. I just need to find out what I wanna do in the meantime to prepare for when the money dries up.
