I have 16 chops in group B and I hit record but cannot find detect

And I see millions of producers lay drums down then chop.... I'm not one of those people I get the groove first then lay rums and hats, That's just me though sample first then everything else

Let me know if you've figured it out. If not ill send you a vid tutorial.. its really easy
 
What I do is play the sample out to my own tempo in my head,play it how i like it,then tap the tempo out on my little app and set it as that,or ill just timestretch.
