For what sounds on the Depeche mode's violator album was the emu emulator iii used?


Anyone know where i can hear samples from the eiii?

Is it really the filter, Curtis CEM3387's chips, that make this thing a beast?

Basically like the emu sp1200 w/o the aliasing and in 16 bit so nice and clean? SSM2044 for sp1200 but CEM3387's chips for the eiii anyone know ne thing about how these operate differently? I also heard u can dirty stuff up in it to make it sp1200'ish

I heard these things need to get serviced once a year why?

I would be buying this to make 80's type music. Best emu for 80's?

Any comments input about the eiii is welcomed. I would be looking into getting the rack version.

depeche mode has probably used emulator II s for every digital sounds on enjoy the silence single;
there is a video you can watch them play on 2 emulator II this single at the top of the world trade center towers...you can watch this video on you tube...
