dt770 headphone problems

i bought the beyerdynamic dt770 80 ohms headphones from craigslist and after trying them on my computer, they only play from my left side of the headphones, even tho on an ipod they play both sides.

any help on this? i don't know much about headphones, but i'm not using an amp or anything if that might be a problem

I want to say you should have really given it a test run since you bought it second hand. Take several devices to test it on prior to the currency exchange family.
