Broken Microphone, or Broken Interface?

I'm running a Blue Bluebird mic through a Blue Icicle XLR-to-USB converter and I have been for about two years now (not too consistently used). Last time I used it was sometime in the last two weeks, and it was fine. I went to use it last night, and it barely picks up sound and is very muffled. It also seems to be picking up sound in small intervals. I'll attach an audio file to demonstrate this:

I'm wondering if the problem is with my mic or the converter. Neither seem to be physically damaged.

I tried running the same setup on a different computer, same problem. I also tried another mic through the converter, and it didnt pick up any audio at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

except that we have had it said: two different mics; similar problem - no audio or severely degraded audio, which tends to indicate that it is the convertor not the mic....

however without some other definitive tests such as the mic works in a normal setup (plug into a mixer/amplifier combo and audio comes out no problem)
