When making hip hop beats what tempo do most people use ??? Does the sample affect this

right now ive just stuck to 90bpm whilst learning the basics of reason.

lately i have been trying to do 100bpm and above.. to give it a 1990 feel... but the way i chop samples(8 pieces per bar) i can control the tempo by just adjusting the bpm without even folling around with the tuning it....

I normaly make mine at around 85 to 98. It all depends on the mood your in.

SEGUNDO ...I see got lessons from pete rock on youtube.com future magazine....cause this timestretching sh*T is for noobs, lazyfingers, and digginpotatoes(like couch potatoes except they sit/sleep while listenin'to records and cd;s) and don't do nothing with;em while they got a 40 samples on 1 record and like 7 samples on 3 cd;s amazin

average hip hop joint can be done at 100 with no timestretch just delay effects and earmarking.....where the snare and kick should meet on the measure and bar of course use your metronomes
