Books/scholarly articles on the history & development of software DAW?

For my uni ICT assignment we have to produce a report re: an important figure/event/technology in ICT, and I chose mine to be on the software DAW. If people could link me to useful books/articles (from reputable sources e.g. Google scholar) it'd be much appreciated! Thnx

Search David Cope, International Computer Music Association, Computer Music Journal, Journal of the Audio Engineering Society - these cover the basic sources for articles on this.

Non-scholarly articles can be found in Keyboard, Guitar Player, Electronic Musician and Music-maker (later became Home Recording Magazine) and a few others
