If you do not plan on using it to make money, then go ahead and use it. Rappers use a lot of producers instrumentals all the time on their mixtapes which are free unless you buy them in public to support the artist. If it does not say "Free to use" any where in the description then message them first. If they dont reply back then just be patient. It is not the end of the world.

The answer is simple. Cut out the middle man and produce yourself. Build your song from the ground up. Make your beat, write lyrics, mix song, master song and promote yourself. None of it professional quality? Then I guess you got bigger dreams and goals now eh? Sounds like a lot of work, but at the end of the day you do what you want to do and no one can tell you other wise. This is your music so take control and invest.
