AKAI MPK49 REC/chop please help

hey
anyone here wit an akai mpk49 that can help wit the rec button..how do i really record stuff in the mpk49? i press the rec button play a note and just dont record or give some signal that its recording.
its possible to chop wit akai mpk49? i've seen it done on youtube i think can somebody tell me what i do?

im using Reason 4.0 i kno how to record sounds in reason. my doubt is how to chop sounds from computer to the mpk49.

please help

The MPK49 is a midi controller meaning that it cannot store sounds or save sounds or chop them. If using reason i suggest using the nn19 or nnxt to sample loops and chops and for the actual chopping use recycle or peak pro
