The arrangement is good but the mix is strange, sounds like there's a low pass over everything. Most sounds are distant and watered down. I would re-mix it and get those mids and highs more present.

I thought the filtered sound worked really well for the sample actually. I'd maybe consider adding a little more high-end to the drums though to balance it out, just a thought. Kinda reminded me of some Camp Lo type of stuff, nice vibes. The little subtle elements like the vocals snippets (Masta Ace...) was dope and added a lot to the feel and kept it moving. It was pretty tight and the swing on the drums was perfect to give it the right feel, good stuff!

I'm feeling this. I appreciate the low filter, but can also see why it was divisive. Maybe you could keep it in the beginning and then automate the cutoff filter up. It would make it sound like the listener is coming up from underwater and give the sample more clarity. I think it's dope either way, good job, bro.

Wow that was super interesting listen. Nice solid production everything sounds tight and well mixed. To answer your question the minor synth sound is from the sample I used but it has a couple of effects on it a phaser, low pass filter, and slight grain delay. I was trying some shit lmao.
