Well judging you're a trap producer and a mod you're just trying to sound "smart"
I don't get how your "recongnizing sample" skills are useful at all, you just listed a few songs you've heard somewhere and now you think you're a smartass?
By the way I've been producing for years if you don't know, and my beats are definitely better than yours LOL
And yes, there's difference between sampling music and plain rap lyrics. If you don't get it, you're a retard.

If any of what you say beyond the obvious misjudgement of what I do is true, you shouldn't be proudly spouting it. You've been sampling for years and don't recognize the samples smothiering Kendrick, Jay Cole, Jay-Z, and who ever the f**k else you mentioned's albums, lol. I guess I would seem like I was trying to "sound smart" to you. My 6 year old daughter can tell a sampled song from a keyboard beat, why can't you?

All that aside, I never made my 1st post to insult, I just had no clue of how you concluded these artists you were mentioning didn't use samples. I can't think of many hip hop artists that don't. I think you're just doing the same thing you must've done when you type casted me, judging everyone off a song or 2. Only hip hop artist I can think of totally against it for money reasons is Nicki Minaj and one of her biggest records(starships)still contained one along with several elements from other songs.

I'm gonna have to agree with deRaNged 4 Phuk'dup you listen to any modern song, and I'm not just talking about rap! you will hear soooo many samples but in my opinion they are better used and less obvious.

Is that a sample from Britney Spears at 1.22??

Phuk' dup is actually right, all the artists you mentioned have a lot of samples and boombap tracks on their albums. Especially Kendrick, almost every song on GKMC and #Section.80 have samples in them. J.Cole too if you listen to Born Sinner, you'll find tons of samples. There are a lot of new producers who sample a lot as well: CHuck Strangers, Kirk Knight, Tae Beast, Sounwave, Willie B, J.cole, Clams Casino, Mike WILL, Asap Ty Beats & myself. Hell even Lex Luger sampled on a track or two:

the problem with music nowadays is that it sound all kinda the same, its hard to find a difference in all those trap beats.. same bpm same drums even the same melodies and "instruments", its sad...
but times change and sampled beats will come to the mainstream again one day... at least i hope so haha

I sample. If I'm making a trap beat, g-funk, even EDM, I'm sampling. You can never go wrong with sampling, unless you're giving up. Is it me, or has anyone else been noticing that the most disturbing samples/sounds/synths are the ones making it???

Still a lot of sampling producers but i think Hip-Hop doesn't have that Soul in it anymore. Its either bragging or dance music now.

Agreed... Unfortunately, socially conscious rappers appear to be (at least for the time being) a thing of the past... Seems the market wants rappers with IQ's of less than 80.

Also. Trap sounds shit. I boom bap it all day!

What?
Hip hop primarily began as dance music with emcees bragging over breaks, lol.

You are right it started there, but it progressed into a more expressive style.

I think what he is getting at is that over the last ten years or so it seems to have slid backwards into a formulaic approach as opposed to a musical development and advancement...which I agree with.

You feel you're the only producer who samples...then I feel you're the only producer that doesn't listen to music lol

The foundation of hip hop is sampling, other then "TRAP", all hip hop uses samples, even new artists and producers.

ASAP
Joey BadAss
Kendrick Lamar
School Boy
Action Bronson
Flatbush Zombies
Jay-Z
Kayne West
big sean
Tyler The Creator
Drake
...
...
I can go on forever, you either don't listen to hip hop or don't know what to look for...like what you said is actually the opposite.

You're such a ****ing retard, almost everyone you listed aren't even producers lol

I started sampling in the 80's, and love recycling old music. I remember being like a kid on Christmas Day when I got that Digitech RDS 7.6 Timemachine sampler! If I could play instruments I would probably still sample. I do spend a lot of time trying to make beats without any samples at all too. As for the trap beats it's just not my thing.

Everyone seems to make this plastic trap sh!t nowadays, but my soul is still 100% boom bap. Is anything wrong with me?

You came into a forum section specifically dedicated to sampling and digging and asked if anyone samples?

You're such a ****ing retard, almost everyone you listed aren't even producers lol

Bro shut the f@ck up pu$$y, First off, how can you call someone a retard when you don't even have proper grammar... you obviously didn't get the message. I know Jay-Z isn't a producer lol I know ASAP isn't (even though he's starting to produce now)...my point was to listen to their music and you'd see that most of their tracks are sample based, and I even said most "producers and artists" use samples and listed them. Damn your dumb...you're whole post was dumb from the beginning, i hope you're young or from somewhere foreign in the world so you could have some sort of excuse.

Stop talking like a pu$$y and quit this music game, if you can't put 2 and 2 together, this is not for you...music does require some form of intelligence. You're making me feel smart right now and I'm high as shit!!! lol blue dream homie!!!

I forgive you though, you don't know better, but you should still quit if you can't pick up that sampling in hip hop is huge and is even coming back around a lot more, means you can't even distinguish a sample in a track from something that was composed.

PM me if you need any help homie, I got you...retard...

I am with TDOT on this one.

So many artists use sampled materials it is invading all forms of music for the most part. In fact it is becoming so prevalent that many don't even recognize a sampled piece from a custom piece anymore.

If you don't hear the prevalence of sampling in music then maybe you don't know music as well as you thought or have tuned it out as a whole.

I know what you mean most of the new era prod don't sample at all I think the one who dosent sample anymore but still makes ill beats is beat butcher !
I sample all day and now and then make my own but still keep it boom bap style even then

^^^ What do you mean? All the new producers are sampling again like crazy, the only reason why sampling ever died down a bit IMO is because of the whole "TRAP" movement and now you have "DRILL" music from Chicago.

I put a few new albums or mixtape on my ipod this morning, all who have huge sampling influences, I would most if not all of their stuff is sampled.

Who would you say the 3 biggest rappers in rap today are?
Kendrick Lamar (albums sampled like crazy)
ASAP Rocky (albums sampled like crazy)
Drake (album uses ton of samples, his hit singles where sampled...All me, Too much, Pound Cake)

I can't think of any artists who are relevant in rap and who don't use sampling one way or another. Unless you're in the trap or drill genre.

I mean sampling is still here heavy in the rap game.
