1st PC Build... for music production

I only have a couple brass & woodwind libraries, but 90% of the time I'll be live multitracking & dealing with multiple audio stems & a few FX... with the occasional Lush-101 or Sylenth1 going. I'd also like to play games (GTA 3, Vice City & some older ROMS). But mostly it'll be for audio recording & mixing.

I wanted a powerful CPU, but nothing outrageously priced. I'll be using Firewire Interfaces (Mackie 1620i & maybe Saffire Pro 40's).

I'll mainly be MIDI sequencing a few modules with an MPC 1000... then once everything is sequenced, I'd like to multitrack all the audio at once through the Mackie Onyx 1620i.

Here is the first draft of a PC build, any suggestions are very welcome. I'd like to stay as under $1,000 as possible, but still have a quality build.

- Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 Quad-Core
- Asus Z97-A ATX LGA 1150 Motherboard
- EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB Video Card
- G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3-1866 Memory (2x4)
- Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5" SSD
- WD Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200 Hard Drive
- Noctua NH-U9S 46.4 CFM Cooler
- Rosewill THOR V2-W ATX Full Tower Case
- EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W 80+ Gold ATX Power Supply
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- SYBA SY-PEX30016 3-Port Firewire PCI-e 2.0 Card with a TI Chipset

Looks like a solid build. I usually like to have at least 16gb of ram. A couple of months ago I built mine and with with the AMG FX-8350 processor way cheaper and its a beast.

That's a very similar build to mine. I'm running Pro Tools 12 and it really moves fast.
