In short, don’t be an ass, show up for work, and be reasonably sober when you do. Seems like everyone would already get that. Problem is a lot of musicians (of all genres/niches) approach it all with with a party goer’s perspective. Ironically it’s often the same guys that complain because they can’t get a break and make the jump to “professional”.

That being said, it’s not just musicians and artists, there are people with unprofessional attitudes in all fields. Always have a good work ethic in whatever you do and you’ll be more successful.
