[VIDEO GAME THEME] Metal Man Theme Arrangement from Mega Man 2

I just now pumped out this track for my education and learning, not really for an album. It's my first of many stages I'm working on right now. What I'm hoping to get out of this thread is: how do I improve my balancing? And perhaps, how would you suggest I improve my instrument selection? Thanks for the help guys.

For your first question, I would suggest boosting the volume of the melody instrument, so that it stands out more (and the song won't sound cluttered). Another tip would be to add reverb to either the whole track or each instrument, as the track sounds too dry.

Your second question, the technique I use is to picture the sound I want in my head. Then I use the search filters to eliminate the kinds of sounds groups I DON'T want. From there, it's all about experimenting.
