It's also a good promotional tool to push your music out there.

Alternatives are:

1. Branding your music with your own professionally-designed website, and offering paid MP3 downloads and CDs through the mail

Watch a video tutorial on how to sell mp3 from a Wordpress site

and

2. Actually hititng the streets and finding brick and mortar shops that sell music and asking to put your stuff on consignment there

Selling music is all about finding the people who buy it.
If your group is booking shows, the people paying to see you are buying music. Looking for local stores that sell music around the venues that you play at can be profitable. Most likely a lot of the same people that came to see you perform will be lurking around there.

I always though of getting other producers beats and selling them for them on my soundclick on or my own website... though about Super Beat Bros. for a name lol...

You can add "ourstage.com". Thats a great website if you want to get your music played. But I don't know if you can register as a label...... :P But it's great anyway! :D
