Tips on finding a publicist?

Hey all, my masters are about done and I'm looking to hire a publicist to get my music out there. I've resorted to collecting email addresses of publicists/record labels/anyone who is affiliated with artists I believe are similar to me and will eventually email all of them. Does anyone have any advice or insights on how to do this? Any better methods of approach?

attend some music events such as mixers or producer showcases, networking is the key. you'll be better off finding a publicist in person than on the internet.

For my release, I used the Mora May Agency, they got me a bunch of press coverage and they were super nice to work with.
