nimbu is a realtime arranger that combines key features of a sequencer with those of the auto accompaniment.

The basic idea behind it is that the patterns of auto accompaniment are no longer limited to source chords, but are based an chord scales.

The tension tones of the chord scales form the missing link between midi files and styles.

nimbu is a sequencer that is played with chords that are translated into chord scales.

Each chord scale type has its own characteristic sound that can be expoited. However chord scales can also be reduced to chords to play any harmony freely.

Each layer of music can be edited. There are loops and inheritance of basic rhythms. Restructuring of the sequence is also done in realtime.

At the same time, the accompaniment is transposed live by playing chords.

This makes music extremely compact and open for spontaneous improvisations and variations.

nimbu calculates chord progressions from midi files to deharmonize the midi files. In addition nimbu imports Yamaha styles. In this way tens of thousands of templates are provided.

Free trial edition available.
