Heya, there's a few sounds I've heard in songs etc recently and I'm looking for the right plugins to emulate these sounds.

First off we have sound from a video about logic pro.
Logic Pro ES2 Deadmau5 Style Synth Tutorial - YouTube
Incase the link didn't work, skip to 1:47.
I noticed the use of a compressor, so I'm guessing that would be the generator of the sound. And if that's the case, which compressor should I use?

The next sound is from a song by Usher. It's sort of a filtered sound so I'm wondering what filter effect plugin could give me something like this.

You can find the same filtered sound from this song aswell.
Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger ft. Christina Aguilera - YouTube

I'm also looking for good synth samples to be used in popmusic. I've tried Nexus and all that but everyone uses those samplebases.
I need some good sounds preferably from plugins which aren't used by everyone.

I'm working in FL Studio by the way.
Thanks so much in advance!

Well, compressors don't generate sound. Here the comp is being triggered by the kick drum (this is called "sidechaining"), which causes the pumping effect. Logic's internal comp used here isn't particularly characteristic; any compressor with a sidechain input can do this just fine.

This sounds very basic as well - basic lowpass filter automation, without any particularly distinct filter characteristics. The actual synth sound sounds like triangle waves.

And this is guitar through similar filter automation as above - again, not especially wild-sounding. Any regular filter plugin should be able to give similar results.

If you want unique synth sounds, learn to program a synth & stop relying on samples. Unlimited amount of sounds not used by anyone! And while it might be intimidating at first, it's certainly not rocket science and the basics can be learned by everyone.

#2 Thanks for your answer kind sir.
Now I'm curious, how would one go if he wanted to program his own sounds?

Excuse my ignorance and lack off knowledge but I'm new to this side of production.

There are plenty of synth programming tutorials out there, like this and these and these to get you started. But the best thing is to simply take a synth and start turning those knobs and pushing the buttons and see what they do and what happens - that's how you learn. More or less all synths fall into a few broad categories (subtractive, additive, FM, granular and so on) and follow similar topologies, so the theory and controls are all applicable pretty much across the board (ie. filter cutoff is gonna do the same thing on any synth, for example).

If you're looking for plugins to enhance or generate specific sounds, especially for AI-based music creation, you might want to check out platforms like www.audiomodify.com. It allows you to create AI-generated song covers, which can be a unique way to modify and experiment with different sounds in your tracks. For plugins, you can explore various VSTs depending on the genre, but this tool offers a quick, innovative solution for AI-driven music production.
