Plan on taking advantage of the 50% deal tonight, but I'm only going to buy one plugin. Which one should I get? Which one is more versatile and best for creating hard synths and pads with great arpegiators? Something that would be great for Dub Step kinda sounds but also some synths that can be used in other genres. Would appreciate any feedback!:victory:

get massive

it is in my opinion easier to use and has a HUGE amount of sounds on board. also you can use it to create anything you want!
worked with razor as well. this one is a bit edgier. it has its own special sound - doesn't fit into every song

thanks bro! Appreciate the speedy feedback!

I jumped on this deal too! Massive has a bigger community online and presets, so you can watch videos and read articles on how to create your own sounds. And if you have extra cash purchase sound banks for Massive.

Thanks guys. I purchased "NI MASSIVE, STRINGS SESSION PRO, and Mutations Evolved 2" all 50% off. Can't wait to start using these new sounds! thanks again!
If you can you guys should post some forums that have massive preset packs! If it's this good, I probably will stop using Synlenth1.

I own both love both but if I had to pick both I would say Massive is a lot more versatile and a much easier synth to make sounds on from what I can tell. I bought Massive during this sale and I have had Razor for a few months and Massive just seems easier to use plus if you aren't into making sounds I always see libraries out there for Massive not so much for Razor but if you can get both because they are both great synths

I own Sylenth also its a fun synth too and imo it is very different from everything else mentioned in this thread. What makes you not want to use it anymore?

QFT ^^^

I own a few soft synths but Massive is the one I always end up using. It's powerful and easy to learn. You can pretty much make any sound you can think of if you know what you're doing. $99 is a hell of a deal for what is in my opinion the best soft synth around.

Razor can make some pretty awesome sounds, the vocoder function is quite interesting not as obvious as most. If i had to pick one I'd have gone Massive too. More intuative, quicker to work worth. Both good though

Enjoy your new toys!

both are great synths, but massive has more presets~

I'm surprised to see so many saying Massive is easier to use and more intuitive. Even the most basic of elements in it are more complex than what Razor ever presents you with.

Razor FTW 100%. It still sounds fresh and unique, as there's only a handful of additive synths, whereas there's a glut of wavetable synths.
There's also some really great native instrument razor presets that showcase what it's still capable of.
And right now it's half price at NI's BF sale :)
