What is the best way to remake a video.....I want to remix the Pray video for Jay Z with My music and maybe cut into my info or something

I'm a beginer in video, but, for my needs, i use Sony VEGAS.
very flexible, basic functions like markers, loop, cut, fades, fxs, etc...
Sound Forge design and full audio works (arrange, mix, finalise etc... )
easy to use.
