I am relitively new to the trance scene. I just recently got into the music (4 months) and now I want to get into djaying. I was wondering, what is the best equipment that i can buiy to start off with that is affordable and will keep me happy?

Hi there. Lets see, you want to make trance songs and you are a newbie. Well, let me recommend ReBirth first. This computer program has it all, 2 synths and 2 drum machines aswell as a filter and distortion etc... It's great to learn on, flexible, and it's been keeping me happy for about 4 months and still going. But to tell you the truth,ReBirth is more suited for house and techno in my opinion; for making nice trance/DnB/goa and any other type of songs; go with the new REASON software. I'm sure you've heard of it. Just buy this software,a computer(which I'm guessing you already have) a midi keyboard and maybe a midi controller and that is all you will need to pump out awsome trance. But Reason is a little tricky for beginners but I'm sure you'll do fine after some practice. Check out http://www.mp3.com ; there are many artist there using Reason aswell as ReBirth. Also here is Reason's and ReBirth's homepage: http://www.propellerheads.se
Good Luck!
P.S.-If you don't end up with Reason or Rebirth, you could go out and buy a synth like the Yamaha CS2x like I was considering but then you'll have to buy a sequencer software like Cubase or Logic and you'll end up spending alot more money on plugins, etc.., I sugest buying hardware at a later time when you have more experience.
