Quick question about this song. In the line "Rockefeller died of AIDS, that was the end of his chapter. And that's the guy y'all chose to name your company after?" Nas says Rockefeller died of AIDs, but no member of the Rockefeller family has ever died of AIDs. So what is Nas talking about/ refering to?

I thought it was "Rockefeller died of AGE". Might have heard it wrong though.
 
yeah, i always heard AIDS. maybe is...WRONG?! lol idk though...ive always wondered about it, but never did research

why would dying from age be a diss.. lol!!

maybe he just got it mixed up, but there are mad members of the rockefeller family, so maybe there was one that did

If Nas said Rockefeller died of AIDS thats the dumbest line ever! When you look up the lyrics it does say AIDS so I guess that was an idiot moment from the Escobar.

At least dying of age would make sense...because its true...not necessarily a mean diss or anything though.

ok, ok, yea ur right, cuz mr.rockefellar died in the 30's, aids wasnt "discovered" yet, but still...they thought nas was speaking directly of joh rockefeller, when he wasnt, regardless, its still kinda weird he said that, and its not fact, but hey, lil wayne says hes a blood, so dont take rappers words literally

Nas should've just left that stupid line out the song. It makes zero sense.
