Hi everyone,
I have this song and in the chorus it has these instruments:
1) Drums
2) Bass
3) Pad (Chords)
4) Piano (Chords)
5) Synth Riffs
6) Acoustic Guitar (Strummed Chords)
And what I would like to know is tips for mixing this song as I am a newbie and the Chorus is sounding muddy and I would like to hear each instrument clearly in the mix.
I am using Izotope Neutron 3 Advance and I am trying to follow along with various tutorials on youtube.
Questions I need help with:
1) With the Accoustic Guitar (these are strummed chords) should I duplicate the tracks and pan them far left and far right? Or just keep one Acoustic Guitar track? Or what would be your advice?
2) What is making my mix sound so muddy?
3) What tracks which are listed above could cause Masking?
