MY friend wants to know what the best way is to record an accoustic guitar straight into the computer using Vegas Pro, and appplying effects with SoundForge

get a GOOD microphone, and put it in front of your guitar while you are playing. The best thing would be to put headphones on with the tick (i mean the metronome) so you can later add some other tracks on top with the whole thing sounding timed.

Good luck, hope this helps

load your recording in an audioprog like cool edit ... then you can cut those frequency.

you can also try the prog audioconvert it cuts the noise while you are recording.

but the best way ... get Steinberg Clean or something like that ... you can do amazing things with that :)
