Deep Trippy Progressive
I'm kinda stuck with this project. I still need to finish some things before adding the vocals...

Could you please tell me:

- What you think of the arrangement, any ideas for the breakdown (it's just a concept ATM)?
- What do you think I should add?

I think this needs some serious filtering/transition work. I think some melodic additions would be good as well as this sounds a little repetitive even for trance music. However, I like the chord progression and sound selection a lot. This is not really my type of music but I can appreciate the vibe and everything. Nice job. Thanks for the feedback, I'll think about adding some more filters. As for the melody, this isn't trance but progressive house so it is meant to be extremely repetitive :) I do have to add some extra melodic fills though ^_^
 
Pretty solid in my opinion. Nailed the sound you were going for. I think the intro is fine; its an EDM song, build ups are necessary like you have. I think Its a bit generic though, maybe add some dreamy vocal samples? Otherwise, very on point and i think you did a great job on the mix.

I think it's pretty sweet. I agree with freedoom, some vocal samples might sound cool. I have one specific suggestion that I would've experimented with. Around 2:30, it might sound cool with piano octaves, using the same rhythm instead of using that one note.

Overall, the buildups were great and I liked all the little details you kept introducing. Keep it up!

As soon as I finish the last bits and bobs I will write the lyrics and add the vocals :) Already got a singer ^-^

Thanks for the suggestion, I also think some piano would be nice in the breakdown, I just need to find something that fits :)

Very laidback progressive sound, nice opening filter we some very smooth sweeps in that work a treat.

I think you've nailed it, personally, one more element in this, one that sort of dances around the rest of the track and I think you'll be set for a big room tune :) haha.

I love it! What VST or preset did you use for that synth and what DAW are you using ???

Cheers man! I know right!?! It needs one more thing but I just can't get it right, any suggestions? What would you add?

I used sylenth 1 for the synth, using my own pluck, I never use presets :) I'm working in FL Studio 11
 
Really nice mate, good melody work and it all flows smoothly. Maybe try raising the bass level in the mix just a little and side-chaining it to the kick? it might just help add a little more swing to the piece

My kind of sound!

Really cool flow, great progression and very minimal which I like. Maybe a few extra tweaks here and there, such as a little pitch play or something alike in sections just to jerk it up a bit but still this track is solid.

Great EQ overall too.

Maybe a collab between us sometime ? ;)

Well it's progressive house, long intro adding one element at a time is typical for this genre ;)

I always keep my intros simple so they are easy to mix when Djing
