Cubase, Kontakt and FL Studio Octave Issue

I have a weird issue and i'm not where the problem is. I have an fl studio project with a soundfont loaded. The soundfont plugin states that the root note is C5. Notes are on D4, D#4, F4 and G4.

I load that same soundfont in kontakt via cubase, and the soundfont is loaded with about 10 groups.

if i play the same notes in cubase, the soundfont is triggered 2 octaves higher.

i have to move the notes 2 octaves lower for the same exact sound to be triggered in cubase+kontakt as it is in fl studio.

i thought maybe it was an issue with the root note, but the soundfont in kontakt has multiple groups and one of them covers C5 and has its root note at C5. the soundfont plugin in fl studio is basic and doesn't distinguish between multiple groups (not sure how that works).

to test this i used the same midi part in cubase but routed it to fl studio rewire instead of kontakt. in fl studio you can see the keys on the midi keyboard playing. i have to move the notes in cubase 2 octaves down to play the same notes in fl studio.

i also tried sfz and take1, same issue. i have to move the notes in cubase 2 octaves down.

does anybody know why this is happening.

anybody?

When you say multiple groups in kontakt, do mean multiple instances or multiple note layers within the single playback unit?

A screen shot will tell us so much more
