Akai S20 vs Yamaha SU200

Hi. I'm thinking of buying a cheap phrase sampler for use with djing, and I think I've narrowed the choices down to 2 - Akai S20 and Yamaha SU200. Anyone got any useful info/thoughts on comparing these 2 samplers ?

Akai S20 has no realtime knobs, no fx, no filter. Get the Yamaha if you wanna choose between those two. The Korg ES-1 is the best choice tho. Don't forget to check it before you decide!

Thanks DeltaM. What features does the Korg (and other samplers in it's price range) have over the Yamaha ?

The Korg is just a little more advanced Has more realtime control, more features. For exact list of features you better check their websites: http://www.korg.com and http://www.yamahasynth.com . I believe Future Music once did a camparative test of those samplers... Now FM isn't the best magazine out there, but they're good in listing all the features ;-) Probably the review is online at http://www.futuremusic.co.uk
