So I've recently just started making beats with my korg padkontrol and fruity loops. I've taught myself both from ear or lurking the forums and listening to alot of people on youtube. I've put together to tracks my self, but I'm not exactly confident about them. I ask my friends for opinions, but their next to useless.

I know I'm new, and theres room for alottttt of work. But my main question is what is my music missing to improve. I know Im missing something, what could it be?
(PS:And if you have any tips on laying drums, that would be helpful. I've played with it for 3 hrs and feel it's still sloppy)
