Will it be helpful learning how every note sounds?

Hey, guys, I wanted to ask you whether or not it will be beneficial to learn how every note sounds?

Will it be useful when writing melodies?

Thanks.

Do you mean acquiring perfect pitch? It can be very helpful, but it is not necessary in any way.

Yeah. I'd say being able to discern between different intervals is going to be much more relevant than hearing a random note and being able to say "that's a G".

Intervals? Yes! Those are the keys to melody and will remove the guess work & trial and error when developing them.

Perfect pitch? You can only develop this if you already have it. Most don't have this ability, nor would I worry about... unless you have this skill already.
