I know this question is purely opinion based but what makes a good instrumental (no vocal) based ep/album etc?
The track that comes to mind which to me is a classic piece of music would be Burial - Archangel which is arguably one of his best tracks still have the same response without the sampled vocals added?
I'm starting to feel like I am making music that in my mind would fit vocals perfectly but if I was to release my music without any I'm worried that other artists may not see my vision for the song if you get what I mean.
I think what I am asking is what makes a song stand on its own without vocals but still have the potential to become something great.
Anyone have any ideas, any artists I should look into?
