Need help with identifying this string sound

Hello everyone, my first post here, if I'm in the wrong section I'm sorry

Anyway, I'm trying to get this string staccato sound like in this song @0:23 in the hook YouTube

I've checked out the sounds in Philharmonik, xpand and omnisphere but cant find something like this, something sounding beefy and hard yet smooth enough to be used in a RnB song.

Also what instrument is this? Viola, Cello? Any effects that will make it sound like this? I'm not really familiar with it, so if anyone could help out it would be GREATLY appreciated.

This is a violin. You can for sure achieve this with the string library for Kontakt named: Session strings pro.
And then either choose the session strings, or dry strings.
They used a velocity switch as well, and maybe even the Smart chord.
