Here check this out, heres an example of something ive been working on..
its still pretty "rough" around the edges and details, but the general concept is there..
anyway.. same thing happens here that happens in all my attempted modern house tracks.. i feel like my drop and my breakdown melodic sections are totally non matching, or at least not matching very well.. sounds like 2 different songs glued together.. whats the secret to making these different sections sound cohesive? I havent been able to find anything online but stuff like "use good transition sounds liek snare rolls and buildups.. ive done that here.. but it still sounds off in my opinon..
