how to mix brass hits and 808 in Trap beat??

Alot of trap beats have the brass hit and 808 hit lting at the same time.. but when I do itthe low end sounds muddy...
If i EQ the low end out the brass hits it sounds weak and frail..
Any suggestions??? :/

I usually lowcut at around 80-150 hz, maybe the samples you are using dont have enough frequency in the spectrum above the 100+ - which samples are you working with ?

Try side-chain compression. You may need to youtube it if you don't know what I mean.

The brass won't need to go any lower than 150hz to make an impact if it has the same rhythm as your sub or bass and they're in the same key.

Filter your sub out below 20hz. If you have a kick too and your sub is only for the bass portion, you can cut the sub above 200hz as well to give your brass more HF room.
