I have nexus2, minimoog, sylenth 1 and massive. I've been trying to slide my fingers across the board to create these smooth bass slides but it's too steppy and it doesn't have a slinky dive bomb effect. Is pitch modulation added so it gives it more of that effect? Does the decay, release have something to do with it? How would I do this in the Vsti's that I have?

In this video, I see Dj battlecat sliding his finger across the board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kodfTwHTwNQ

agreed with alienaircraft. i usually pitch mod it but if it's a synth, usually there's a "glide" function you can turn up. I'm almost positive massive has got it in one of the LFO tabs.

Glide is also called portamento on some synths, if you can't find it
