Here's a quick tip on how to tape stop in ableton I figured I make a video on it so here you go...like and comment if you find it useful.

There is a better way (sounds smoother), found it myself.
Resample your track into audio and select cut out that ONLY part where you need the tapestop.
Add a new MIDI track and load Sampler into it, drag your cut out moment into the simpler.
Now go over to the MIDI section INSIDE simpler and there you will see "Pitch Bend Range", set it to -24 st.
Make a midi clip, drag a note on C3 (basic sampler note) that lasts as long as the tape stop.
On the left down corner, near the note picture, you will see a grey picture of two dots connected by a line, click on it, envelope page will open.
Select "Pitch Bend" and now make a triangle shape, like the guy in the video did. However this tape stop will sound a lot better.

Ask questions if you're stuck on something ^ it is kind of a lot of steps

It's a quick tip... pretty effective way to do it if you didn't know how. Definitely quicker than downloading the softube plugin and loading it up. Nice video!
