How would someone get that release after the strum hit on an electric guitar???
Because you cant hold a strum on a guitar
Any advice on how to get that on a DAW (FL Studio)??

Here's an example of what I'm trying to achieve?

use a sustain pedal with the sample library to control how long the sound is held for with automatic cutoff once it is released

alternatively learn how to play because that is a real guitarist playing that part

Hmmmm....I think the only way to get something like that is to record it.

yah i was just assuming he had no hardware and was talking about trying to emulate it strictly in the box.

Ive been trying to figure out how to emulate a guitar strum as close as i can with midi but its not going so hot haha.

main problem with trying to do it in MIDI is that it is tempo dependent

- what works for one tempo is too fast or slow for another tempo

- the differences you hear in a strum (when the individual notes are played) are always at the ms range of discernment

converting those timing differences into MIDI data is then dependent on the resolution of the MIDI data stream in your daw
