Flylo & BrainFeeder Type beats

After I finish my two waves eps I wanna try my hand at something more experimental. I really like that crazy cosmic sound flylo and lapalux has. can anyone help me figuare they're process. I really can't tell if all those weird sounds I hear are just samples or some sort of synth programing? does anyone have any advice to achieve this sound?

thanks Ive been listening to stuff like this pretty much all day. it does sound like a brunch of samples with tons of pitch shifting and filter work
