Fl studio piano roll problems

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I've been trying to get that swing groove into one of my beats. I can get the drums to swing in the step sequencer, but I can't get my instruments to swing in the piano roll. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I've never actually used it but there is the swing parameter at the top of the step sequencer. It has to do something with shifting the off beats off by some amount. I recall a post by bandcoach in a similar thread and I'll try to find it.

quantize is alt+q for the piano roll
then pic your settings swing all that

Swing only works with the step sequencer you have to quantitize the instruments for it to be able to fit with the groove of the drums
