In Drake - Marvin's Room, what kind of lead is played over the light pads?

Is there a specific name to describe that sort of lead?
 
im not sure.. but the producer always puts an effect on it.. it always sounds the same.. like he did single by wayne... fancy by drake.... u know that lil interlude part... it always seems to make the beat more moody...
