Creating reverb with delays?

How would I go about creating a small reverb with delays? And how would I go about having the delay longer as a reverb with a long decay?

you can emulate a reverb by using many delays with prime number delay times in ms: you create the decay by using more feedback than you might usually use and by recycling the end delay into the start again. Pick your first prime to create your pre-delay figure and add as many additional delays as you think necessary: most designs suggest 8-16 delays

the first 168 primes (0-1000)

The Computer Music Tutorial by Curtis Roads would be a great place to start reading. There is a chapter dedicated to delay based effects.

It was actually the only chapter I read but i reread it a lot, very cool book.
