    Will connecting studio monitors directly into computer harm them?

    Decent speakers would at least have an RCA output. You need something on your computer to plug the RCA jacks into. Also, the speakers would have to be powered.

    Yes, RCA _input_. And the speakers would have to be active (powered), unless you want to go passive, in which case you'd also need an amp.

    There really isn't a convenient, quality way of going directly out from a computer in this case.
