what size monitors to buy for my room?

my room is about 3.5m(W) x 6m(L) x 3.5 (H)..

i planned on placing them on my desk which is against the longest wall of the room, in just about the middle of the wall.

do i need to opt for large speakers? what size do you recommend? keep in mind i'm not trying to go crazy.. i don't need the absolute cutting edge setup, but I do want to upgrade (never had a pair of monitors, so anything is better) and I want to find a nice balance. my budget is about 300 for a pair (plan on buying used).. i was thinking of krk rokit's since they fit my budget but the size is a concern.

you could try some samson monitors or m audio monitors if krk's are too big. i have samson studio gt theyre pretty nice i think theyre medium cuz theres one size larger

If your serouis it´s always best to get the biggest. So you can hear the bass and mix it the right way. I have the same size room and my krk v6 were too small so I got the rokit 8" and they sound as good as my old v6. My view.
