ok, This is a list of my gear I use for music
- Up-2-daTE computer
- Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX soundcard (external: 96khz/24bit)
- Shure sm58 mic
- Magix Audio studio/Cakewalk Music Creator
- Fruity Loops 3

When I first got my new soundcard I heard very little hissing. Now it's noticable. I need some sort of mixer or some other device to hook up to my soundcard to take the hissing out of my recordings right? I'm on a decent budget. So I would say...I'm looking for something that cost no more than 50 bucks.
-any suggestions?-

Make sure to disable any sources you are not using. Even the digital ones. You can do this in your sound control panel.

WHOOOOOOAAAA! WAIT ONE SEC! Swoosh, Fruity Loops "3"? You out of date on that one. FL Studio 4.5 is out. Go get that.

But don't worry, I'm out of date on my sound card. I don't even have Sound Blaster
