ok guys, here's the deal...
i have a pc with...
intel p4 1.8ghz processor
512mb rdram
60gb hard disk drive
sound blaster audigy platinum ex - sound card
midex 8 - 8 x 8 midi interface
windows xp pro edition
cubase vst/32 5.1 r1
ni pro-52
ni fm7
ni b4
.....and more.
ok, i am after a recording medium of some sort. i would prefer a seperate recording medium because i want my pc to be used mainly for sequencing, sampling, audio editing and software synths (vsti).
i would really like to have a mixer in my setup, whether it'd be in the form of a multi-track recorder or a mixing console and hard disk recorder seperate to each other.
i would prefer it if the recording medium had at least 24 tracks.
...damn, the hardest part of making music is choosing what equipment to use!
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
john
ps. for sampling and audio editing, would it be best to buy a 24-bit/96khz sound card?
cheers!
